Outstanding.
This book is one of the best works of modern fiction I've read in the last few years. I thought the ending a wee bit unsatisfactory but the writing is suberb, the characters utterly convincing and the plot engrossing. The 'whodunnit' aspect is very well done also -- it's obvious that it must have been that person after the reveal but up til then it'd be very hard to work out, as with the best detective fiction (though this isn't a crime novel by any means). I really loved it.
